Stealing, theft, robbery. The point is, is it right or wrong?

Don't you remember, with the place, at the time, and the things? You were there, and so was he! Good times. Good times. Weeeeeeeell anyway, I think that it is crucial to uphold one's principals, because without principals we like have nothing to stand for. But, in the circumstances such as Liesel's it is, to me at least, understandable that she would steal. But, if you think about it, what she was stealing were books, which are not necessary to live. It's different when its food. It could be argued that she needed the books to help her catch up to her age group and that she depended on them to maintain her mental/psychological stability. When you have to uphold something at the cost of sacrifice, if the sacrifice is too large then nobody is going to be upholding anything. It's human nature, selfishness and self preservation and so on and so forth. And of course, I think saying most of us would die trying to prove a point is kind of a lie. I think everyone is smart enough to know that dying to be able to say something that nobody will even hear cus you'll be dead is stupid. But I would feel bad if someone trid to steal from me and then that person died because I didn't allow him to steal... I'm thinkin a little poor disease ridden child who's on the verge of death or starvation. I just wanted to clear that up. I'd rather give him something of monetary value than let him die.... I think. It's the sytem. You can't fix it, you can't tamper with it, but you can influence who it benefits by your actions. It's not the best system, but you learn to be indifferent for awhile. Deal with it. And the Big Question: Is it right or wrong? That all depends on your point of view and your principals and stuff like that.But I think it's wrong and is only right depending on the circumstances in which it is done. That's it. U expected more? Well too bad. Deal with it.

The Future of a Thief

In the year 3000... naw, just kidding. You know, if you look back on Liesel's life, you can see where she has had a really hard time. Plus, Death (thats right, Death) keeps insinuating that shes gonna have it worse. It may just be me, but if Death, you know, the Grim Reaper, the guy with the scythe, if he comes and tells you that its all gonna go wrong, you should listen to him. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnyway, I think that Liesel's life is gonna be all fine and dandy, UNTIL, things start to go wrong. Like they might discover that Papa is hiding a Jew in the basement or they mght catch Liesel stealing. But, eventually she dies. I think thats something that we all know. Whether thats good or bad, I can't tell. All I know is that she's gonna have a rough time as the book progresses.

The Closet Effect

      Living in a closet is no small feat. I just wana make that clear before continuing, ok? I mean, if u lived in a closet, how hard would it be to stay sane? I know I probably would have gone crazy at some point or another. I would also be showing symptoms of EBS (Extreme Boredom Disorder) and Patrickson's Laziness Syndrome. Seriously. I mean, it's a closet. You can't get much worse than that. I think that living in a closet has made Anita a little more grateful of the space she has, but she avoided the psycological damage (i think) by writing in her diary (lucky). That diary served as a way to empty herself the way we usually do by talking to other people. I mean, I would have had thosekind of effects cuz i wouldn't have anybody to talk with.. and i believe we all know that I need to talk with someone to stay sane. And, because if I had to stay quiet all the time and stock still I would start get very lazy. And there's not all that much to do in a closet, believe it or not. Would there be other effects that maybe unforeseen?There might also be some unforeseen effects, like her avoiding closed spaces like, well, like closets. She might have trouble getting acustomed to large spaces too because of her confinement. No, I actually can't think of any... wait, yeah I think I remember reading something about a Jewish girl and a family hiding up in the second story of a house so that the Nazis would not find them and kill them. Sad story.

Before We Were Free

In my opinion, Tio Toni and Anita's dad, Don Mundo, are doing the right thing fighting for their country's freedom against a cruel rapist dictator General Trujillo, even though i think they could try to take a little more action to keep their family safe instead of having them at risk. But I know Anita's dad tried, seeing as how he did not participate initially to keep his family safe. But, eventually he couldn't take it and he sent most of his family to the U.S. He did his best is what I think. And so did Tio Toni, going into hiding so he was not arrested and neither was his family.

My Favorite Book

My favorite book is Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy. Its a really good book because the plot is clear and mysterious and it keeps you thinking through the whole story. At every corner theres a surprise and more questions to be answered.
